How it works
A word-level trace, not a guess. Each sentence in the new version is checked against your original: if its words appear in your original, in order, it traces. There is no model and no probability score — the answer is a match or it isn't.
What it doesn’t do
It measures survival, not origin. It cannot look at one piece of text alone and tell you whether a machine wrote it — no tool can do that reliably — so it asks you for the original and compares the two.

How is this different from an AI detector?
An AI detector guesses; this one compares. Detectors score how statistically predictable your word choice is, which is a claim about style, not evidence about who wrote it — published false-positive rates run as high as 61% on essays by non-native English writers. This tool never guesses. You supply the original, and it tells you which sentences of the new version still trace back to it.
What counts as still my words?
A sentence traces when its words appear in your original in the same order, allowing for cuts and small joins. Reordering across sentences is fine, and so is a light grammar fix. A swapped synonym or an invented clause breaks the trace — because at that point it is somebody else's sentence.
What do I paste on each side?
On the left, the words that are yours — a voice-note transcript, a messy first draft, your notes. On the right, whatever came back after the edit. The tool works for any pair: AI rewrites, a human editor's pass, or your own draft against your own revision.
Can I use this to prove I wrote something?
It gives you evidence, not a verdict. What actually demonstrates authorship is the record — drafts, versions, and the source they came from — and this shows the line between your source and the finished piece. That is a stronger argument than any detector score, and a far stronger one than denying it.
