I run a brand called Initial Finds. I write for people whose lives look right on paper and still feel like someone else's — the quiet gap between the life you built and the life that's actually yours. It's personal work. It only lands if it's true.

Like most writers, I used AI tools for the heavy lifting. And they're good — that's not the complaint. The complaint is what they made me become: the operator. I kept a system of prompts and project notes. I pasted the same instructions into every new chat. I reminded the tool who I was, watched long threads drift off task, and collected piles of beautiful research that had nowhere to go. I was spending more time managing the writing than writing.

Then one morning it crossed a different line. I asked a tool to help me write something personal — about growing up without a father. My stepfather died when I was eleven; I never knew my real father. The tool invented a story about him that never happened. Filler, to fit the theme. When I asked why, it apologized and said it was just going along with what I was doing.

I deleted the draft. The morning was gone.

Verbaria is what I built instead: the system I kept holding together by hand, made into a real room. It learns your voice from your own work.
